Overview

Jan Shikshan Sansthan is one of the important Institutions of Ananda Niketan. Being sponsored by Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India. Jan Shikshan Sansthan started in the year 2002-03 mainly to serve the young generation by providing them with the vocational skills of different types. Keeping in mind the improvement of quality of life of backward class of people the institution conducts vocational trainings for the illiterate, Neo-literate and the young people with some education. It really helps this generation to become the useful citizen of the country. Since inception it has become possible to conduct the courses at the Institution premises and at the door step of the beneficiaries in the remote parts of the villages. At present the courses and awareness generation camps are being conducted at the GP level of different blocks and at the institution level.

Services

Through the activities of this Sansthan it has become possible to reach to the poorest of the poor in the remote areas and conduct vocational courses and other activities at their door steps.

Objectivities

Jan Shikshan Sansthan - Howrah works to accomplish the following set of objectives.

To impart vocational and Skill up gradation training to its target population with a new to raise their productive ability and efficiency
To take the vocational component to the learners of the continuing education centres and conduct courses of difficult trades at their door-steps.
To bring about a change in the life style of the target group population through knowledge and better understanding of their socio-economic and cultural environment.
To create a zeal in the minds of its target group population to manifest their potentialities.
To unfold the income generation opportunities and motivate them to utilize the same through upgrading their skill, efficiency and ability.
To have just society by motivating its target group population in attending the discursion on value based social education, communal harmony, women empowerment, national integration, protection of human right, ecological Balances etc.
